transformers for every project is really expensive, so what can we do, here i
am going to give you the solution,
You can make
the transformation with a few cheap electronics components,
Components required=general
diode, capacitor, resistor, zener diode.
Circuit diagram=

we all know that voltage drops across the load. at the starting of the circuit we use a parallel combination of resistor and capacitor to limit the current. the current is very less in the circuit but voltage is almost same as supply voltage, when we connect load at the output of the circuit,voltage drops significantly, so we get 12 volt or less according to load. this circuit is suitable only for light load purpose for greater load ,transformer is better option. you can get this type of circuit from china rechargable torch light.
